Denman College, Nr Oxford
Gathering inspiration from the beautiful Denman gardens we’ll use leaves, flowers, seeds and natural materials to create patterns, textures and unique designs in real silver. Explore techniques such as stamping, imprinting textures from natural sources, moulding from shells or seedpods and preserving a real leaf in silver. Expect to complete four or five projects which can be made up into jewellery or keepsakes to treasure.
Suitable for beginners, this course is a perfect introduction to the wonderful world of silver clay – fun and creative inspiration guaranteed. Melanie Blaikie, author of ‘Silver Clay Workshop’, regularly appears on Jewellery Maker TV and recently represented Denman on BBC’s ‘Escape to the Country’.
All tools, equipment and materials are provided by your tutor so you can relax and enjoy your class. An additional cost of approx. £65.00 per person will be payable to your tutor for materials and consumables used during the course.
‘Denman is the perfect setting for this lovely course. I really enjoyed finding materials in the gardens and found myself looking much more closely at natural textures and patterns. I’m leaving with some beautiful pieces that will always remind me of Denman’.
